The framework

The DeLorenzo Leadership System

A simple leadership framework that helps organizations turn good decisions into daily practice.

Good decisions should not depend on memory.

A meeting can feel productive. A policy can be written. A responsibility can be assigned. But if no one can clearly see who owns the work, what proves it happened, and when the process will be reviewed again, the organization is still depending on memory.

The DeLorenzo Leadership System helps leaders close that gap.

The Visibility Gap

The visibility gap is the distance between:

Leadership Decided

What leaders agreed should happen

Managers Believe

What managers think is happening

Daily Practice

What employees actually do each day

The gap grows when daily practice drifts away from leadership’s original decision.

Clarify. Verify. Strengthen.

The framework works through three repeatable leadership habits.

Clarify

Define what should happen, who owns it, what success looks like, and what evidence matters.

Verify

Make the work visible without forcing leaders to chase updates or rebuild reports.

Strengthen

Use what is learned to recognize good work, coach early, correct problems, and improve the process.

The goal is not one fix. The goal is a rhythm: clarify, verify, strengthen, and repeat.

The Decision-to-Practice Test

Every important decision should answer four questions:

01

Who owns it?

02

When must it happen?

03

What proves it happened?

04

When will we review whether it still works?

If those four questions cannot be answered, the organization does not yet have a system. It has a good intention depending on someone’s memory.

How DLS Stays Simple

The framework is designed to create focus, not administrative clutter.

Starter Seven

Each department begins with no more than seven meaningful priorities. Leaders start with what they cannot afford to assume.

DLS Coach

Each organization identifies one internal guide who helps departments stay on track during setup and adoption.

Strengthening Review

After 30 and 90 days, the organization reviews what worked, what created unnecessary work, and what should be removed, revised, or improved.

The Book Explains the Gap

The Visibility Gap explains why good decisions quietly fade after the meeting—and how leaders can make them last. The DeLorenzo Leadership System is the framework behind that idea.
